Squeeze in These Family-Fun Activities Before the Kids Go Back to School 0
The school year is getting ready to gear back up and summer vacation will be winding down. But there's still a little time left to squeeze in some family fun activities before the first bell rings. If you're trying to figure out how to spend the last couple of weeks of Summer before the kids go back to school, Traveling Breeze has come up with several ideas to fill the final days of Summer vacation!
Enjoy a Summer Concert
Summer time brings no shortage of live music in every corner of the world. Research your favorite bands and see if they're going to be in concert near you. Grab your family and take a road trip if need be, but you're not going to want to miss the opportunity to see your favorite bands live this summer! The venue seats are bound to be packed and those tickets typically cost quite a bit more than lawn seating, so be sure to bring your Breezy Buddy Fan-Cooling Camp Chairs so you and your family can be comfortable in the lawn section.
Visit the Local Upcoming Fairs
We're quickly approaching Fair season, and who doesn't enjoy all that comes with that? There quite literally is usually something for everyone: livestock shows, pageants, live music, fried foods, etc. Whether your family likes to ride the rides, or play the carnival games, or just likes to go for the demolition derby, the Fair is always a great time had by all! Your whole family will have a wonderful time and make great memories they'll remember for years to come.
Fish the River Banks and Lakes
Fishing is the ultimate bonding experience! Gather up your fishing gear and bait and hunt down some new to you fishing spots along your local river banks or lake. Pack the sunscreen and a cooler full of snacks and drinks for your family. Whether you're a seasoned fisher or only fish for leisure, turn the day into a competition. Your family will have a wonderful time trying to catch the biggest fish of the day! And you'll likely get plenty of laughs and great pictures of the tiny "whoppers" you'll be throwing back throughout the day.
Spend a Day at the Zoo
Who doesn't love the Zoo? Not only is going to the Zoo a fun way to pass the time, but it's educational too! You and your family can spend the day learning about all the rare and endangered wildlife. When your family visits the Zoo, you’ll have no shortage of things to see and do. You can also find Zoo activities and programs for people of all ages and abilities!
Take the Family to an Amusement/Water Park
Whether you love riding fast twisty-turny roller coasters or prefer the slow kid rides, you can bet that a family day at an amusement park is going to be one day to remember! Roller Coaster rides not your family's style? Enjoy cooling down in the hot Summer heat at a water park. And since we know that family's LOVE a little bit of friendly competition, you can take turns daring each other to go on rides a certain family member wouldn't go on otherwise.
With these fun ideas, your family will make some great memories before the kids go back to school. So don't waste your last few weeks of summer vacation sitting in front of the television. Get out and do something fun with the family! All of these activities will likely require a lot of walking which can be tiresome, so don't forget to take your Breezy Buddy Fan-Cooling Camp Chairs along with you to keep you cool and comfortable during your down time!

5 Myths of Menopause Debunked! 0
Menopause is a time of change and it can be so confusing! There is so much information out there, as well as many stories, about what will happen to your body and your life. Menopause is a transition that may not be simple, but that doesn’t mean it has to be hard. Whether you are trying to make sense of your symptoms and their impact on your body or you are just beginning to learn more about what may lie ahead for you, Traveling Breeze wants to help ease some of the stress that comes with researching this topic by debunking some of the scary myths we often here about menopause.
Myth #1: Menopause typically begins at age 50.
Truth: The average age for women beginning menopause is age 52 but the truth is, premature menopause can start for you as early as your late 30’s and menopause can come as late as your 60’s, though this is less common. For most women, their menopause timeline lies more within the late forties to mid-50’s range.
Myth #2: You won't know you're in menopause until you have your first hot flash.
Truth: When that first hot flash hits, it is a good indication that you are in perimenopause. However, many women experience other symptoms first. It’s not uncommon to experience weight gain, cravings, irregular periods, fuzzy thinking, lower libido, hair loss, irritability, mood swings, depression and/or anxiety, or fatigue long before you ever feel that first hot flash. (And some women survive their perimenopausal journey without ever having a hot flash!)
Myth #3: Your sex life ends with menopause.
Truth: If your desire is decreasing, it is usually a symptom of hormonal imbalance. This imbalance can lead to physical changes such as vaginal dryness that can make sex uncomfortable (and when that happens, your libido may fall as well). It can also lead to emotional symptoms such as moodiness or depression than can make sex much less appealing. But those symptoms can be addressed so that you can maintain a healthy vibrant sex life through menopause and beyond!
Myth #4: Weight gain is inevitable.
Truth: Many women gain weight during this transition as their hormones fluctuate. The truth is it is very common, but it does not have to be inevitable. One of most effective things you can do to avoid weight gain is to eat well, as good nutrition will give your body the fuel it needs to heal and balance hormones naturally. Increasing protein while eliminating processed sugar and reducing carbohydrates will help to support your body in maintaining your weight.
Myth #5: The main symptoms of menopause are physical.
Truth: Emotional symptoms caused by hormonal imbalance can wreak just as much havoc in women during perimenopause as the physical symptoms can. If you feel tired, depressed, irritable or struggle with fuzzy memory, you are experiencing some of the emotional symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Progesterone drops can lead to irritability. Changes in estrogen and progesterone may cause mood swings. Memory, concentration, and mood are all impacted by our hormone levels.
Menopause is Not All Bad!
Although menopause does have it's downfalls, many women find that this time in their life actually helps them to discover a more independent and empowered side of themselves that they didn't know they were capable of. Traveling Breeze hopes that this information will help to relieve some stress of menopause and get you back to embracing the pleasures that menopause can bring!
A Helpful Solution to Ease Hot Flashes
Meet your new buddy! The Breezy Buddy Fan-Cooling Pillow is doctor recommended for hot flash relief without medication. Your internal thermostat tells your system when it's time to push the heat out of your body. This happens in the form of small water droplets (sweat). When the targeted airflow of the Breezy Buddy Fan-Cooling Pillow runs across the moisture, it accelerates the heat removal process and wicks the heat away faster. Our premium fan-cooled pillow keeps you cool inside the house, laying poolside, camping, or just relaxing with the kids. It's lightweight and portable, so you can take it anywhere. The Breezy Buddy Fan-Cooling Pillow provides portable cooling wherever you need it.

Tips to Improve Your Menopause Experience 0
Although almost all women go through the change at some point in their life, it can affect each woman differently. And while it does affect people differently, there are some things that typically help make the experience better. This week, Traveling Breeze would like to share a few of those tips with you.
Get Up and Get Moving
One of the best ways to fight the mood swings and help with weight gain is to get moving and stay active. Even if it's just a 20 minute quick workout, you'll feel better. Since estrogen levels drop so dramatically during and after menopause, this can cause an increased risk for osteoporosis. So strength training is an essential form of exercise to get into to help build bone and muscle strength.
Watch What You Eat
A typical side effect that many women see during menopause is weight gain. The hormonal changes of menopause might make you more likely to gain weight around your abdomen. If you continue to eat as you always have and don't increase your physical activity, you're likely to gain weight. Lack of exercise, unhealthy eating and not enough sleep might contribute to menopause weight gain. When people don't get enough sleep, they tend to snack more and consume more calories. So be cautious of what you are eating, and try to maintain a schedule so as to not eat too often.
Take Time for Meditation
Medication is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to control your irritability and recenter yourself. Practice deep, slow abdominal breathing. When you relax, your heart rate slows. Every time your heart beats it sends a pressure wave through the arteries. When the pressure reaches the brain, the electrical activity changes - which controls your body's response to stress.
